GovCity was imagined in September 2018. The first pop-up conference GovCity experiment is slated to go live in March 2019.

Though a relatively new trend in formal job titles and program offices throughout corporations and government entities everywhere today, the concept and act of “innovation” has long been present in professional settings and labs all over the world since the humans began going to work.

In the U.S., as non-California organizations and leaders have become more attracted to and comfortable with (albeit decades later) the best practices and spirit of Silicon Valley, the amount of “innovation tours” has increased dramatically.

Innovation Tour: Sending executives and high ranking officials to see cool demos, talk to bright techies, collect talk points, go back to the office.

GovCity is designed for the decision makers, future leaders, maverick champions, internal disrupters, corporate culture changers, intrepreneurs and anyone who wants to support their self-appointed missions to change and innovate from within — to interact, network, learn from, collaborate, challenge, inspire, push and upgrade each other on behalf of efforts greater than themselves.

An innovation experiment in itself, GovCity is a pop-up conference, designed to appear where innovators want to be (tech conferences, film festivals, hackathons) and even places they don’t know they should know about, can meet and immerse themselves in a temporary but lasting mastermind session with individuals they would have never been in the same 2-day workshop together otherwise.

We’re putting the unique minds and ambitious leaders in the room and letting the magic take over.
